- 01Each workshop or session is centered around a specific theme, so you’re walking into something with a clear focus. You’ll be working with different formats like collage, art journaling, photography, paint, or mixed media, depending on the offering. I’ll guide you through simple prompts and exercises so you’re not sitting there wondering what to do, while still giving you room to follow what catches your attention. It’s hands-on and engaging. You get to play with it, try things, shift things around, and see what unfolds as you go. And as you’re creating, what you’re drawn to, what you include, what you leave out, starts to show you patterns and insight in a way that feels pretty natural, and sometimes a little surprising.connected to that focus.
- 02No experience needed. Most people who come haven’t created anything in years. This is about the process, not skill. You’ll be guided step by step, so you always have a place to start.
- 03I offer a mix of ways to connect, depending on the focus of the session. Some of our work happens virtually so we can gather from anywhere, while other sessions are held in person here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Art Journaling Workshops: We meet online via Zoom. These are live, interactive group sessions where we can see each other, share our progress, and build a sense of community from our own creative spaces. Discover Your Soul's Collage: These are in-person group sessions. There is a specific kind of magic that happens when we’re physically working alongside one another, cutting and pasting at the same table. Therapeutic Photography: Because this work is so personal, all three sessions are held in person. We work face-to-face to explore your story and your intentions through the lens. Create & Connect (Monthly): I offer these both on Zoom and in person depending on the month. One-on-One Coaching: These are typically held over the phone. I find that being off-camera allows for a deeper level of focus and a quieter "container" for us to dig into the work together.
- 04You’ll leave with something real. a finished piece you created a clearer understanding of what’s been on your mind insight that came from doing, instead of overthinking a noticeable shift in how you feel People often leave surprised by both what they made and what they realized.
- 05A lot of people feel that way. Creativity often gets framed as something you either have or you don’t, so if it didn’t feel natural early on, it’s easy to assume it isn’t for you. You don’t need to identify as a creative person to be here. This is a guided, intuitive process. You follow a prompt, choose what draws your attention, and put things together in a way that feels right to you. It can be simple, layered, unexpected, messy, all of that is part of it. There’s no right way to do it.
- 06That's a real consideration. You're weighing it against your time, your energy, and everything else you could say yes to. Here's what I want you to know. This is space carved out just for you. For creativity, for play, for something that usually gets bumped to the bottom of the list. You step out of your regular routine and into something hands-on, engaging, and a little different from anything else in your week. You create, you explore, you follow what draws you in. And through that, something tends to shift. Insight shows up. Clarity arrives. And you leave with something you made and an experience that feels both enjoyable and genuinely meaningful. If something here is speaking to you, maybe consider leaning in. And if you want to talk it through before deciding, reach out.
- 07It depends on the workshop or session. For online workshops, you’ll receive a supply list in advance so you know exactly what you’ll need. For in-person workshops, you’ll also receive a supply list ahead of time. If something specific is required, like soul collage cards, I’ll share a link so you can purchase them in advance. I’ll also provide some materials, like magazines for collage and other shared supplies. For in-person therapeutic photography or 1:1 sessions, you just bring yourself. Between what’s provided and what’s shared ahead of time, you’ll have everything you need to get started.
- 08Start with what catches your attention. If something stands out, there’s usually a reason. That’s a great place to begin. And if you’re unsure, you can always reach out. I’m happy to help you figure out what fits best and where to start.
